This is the first game in Delhi this year. CSK had a pretty bad season last year and couldn’t manage any more than 2 or 3 wins in whole season. But this year they turned the things around and played some very good cricket throughout the season thus far. The new signee Moeen Ali has been the star performer for them this year. He has performed both with the bat and with the ball and more importantly has provided them the much needed momentum in the power play which they lacked very much last year. Apart from him Suresh Raina,Ravindra Jadeja,Deepak Chahar, Facebook du plessis and Rituraj Gaikwad all of them have been brilliant for CSK. After the loss in the first game they have met every contest head on and came out winning out of it. In the last game how Jadeja finished the inning it will give them immense confidence in themselves.

SRH have found it very hard to get any sort of performance from their young middle order batsmen. Johny Bairstow and Kane Williamson have been brilliant with the bat but other than that no one has significant contribution to show specially in that middle order. In the last game against DC, Kane Williamson played a mesmerising inning on a difficult pitch and got SRH to a super over but they just couldn’t find a win. Bhuvi’s injury has raised concern for them specially when they are now away from Chennai. If Delhi’s pitch suits the batsmen then SRH’s pace bowler will struggle contain batsmen without Bhuvi. And also the likes of Vijay Shankar and Kedar Jadhav need to start performing otherwise it will be too late for them.

CSK’s probable XI: Rituraj Gaikwad,Faf du plessis,Moeen Ali,Suresh Raina,Ambati Rayudu,MS Dhoni,Ravindra Jadeja,Sam Curran,Deepak Chahar,Shardul Thakur,Lungi Ngidi

SRH’s playing XI: David Warner,Johny Bairstow,Kane Williamson,Virat Singh,Vijay Shankar,Abhishek Sharma,Kedar Jadhav,Jagdeesa Suchith,Rashid Khan,Khaleel Ahmed,Sidharth Kaul
