This is the first game for MI on any soil other than Chepauk this season. They struggled sure to the slow nature of the Chennai pitch. Their star studded middle order failed to come in terms with the slow nature of Chennai pitch. They are playing after a six days break and after 2 back to back losses so they will be itching to get a win. But their record hasn’t been great neither on this venue nor against the opponent. Rajasthan Royals has been the only team that has got better of the 5 time champions in head to head encounters. MI will be well rested both physically and mentally and would want to make use a better batting surface on this venue which they failed to do in Chennai. There wouldn’t be many changes in their XI but just one Adam Milne in place of Jayant Yadav.

RR are at 7th spot on the points table with two wins in 5 games just like MI but with a much inferior nrr they are at 7th spot and MI are a 4th. RR has been the only team who has got better of MI and they would hope that they could repeat that in absence of some of their best players. Some of RR’s foreign players have left for their home and only four of their foreign players are available for selection. But yet they would hope to put up a good performance and divert all the attention to their performance not on all other things. Sanju Samson needs to pull up his shocks and start winning games for his team and inspire others to do it.

MI’s probable XI: Quinton de cock,Rohit Sharma,Surya Kumar Yadav,Ishan Kishan,Kieron Pollard,Hardik Pandya,Krunal Pandya,Rahul Chahar,Adam Milne,Trent Boult,Jasprit Bumrah

RR’s probable XI: Yashasvi Jaiswal,Jos Buttler,Sanju Samson,Shivam Dube,David Miller,Riyan Parag,Rahul Tewatia,Chris Morris,Shreyas Gopal,Mustafizur Rehman,Chetan Sakaria
