Olly Robinson suspended for Edgbaston, Buttler & Morgan also to be investigated

Olly Robinson, who made his test match debut for England in the last match at Lords is facing a investigation against him over some sexist and racial remarks. He made those remarks on his twitter about 8 or 9 years ago when he was 18 years old. Earlier he apologised for the remarks publicly in a press conference. These remarks came into the light when Olly Robinson was included into the playing XI for the first test against NZ and England team came out with a message (cricket for all). Olly Robinson is suspended for the next match due to a ongoing investigation into the matter.

Other than Robinson the two other players are also facing a probable investigation over some tweets mocking indians. In the tweets both Morgan and Buttler are using the word ‘Sir’ and a bit broken English to mock indians. After the tweets came into the spotlight Buttler deleted those tweets from his timeline.

This is a big issue specially looking at the ongoing movement for ‘Black lives matter’. It’ll be seen how ECB responds to these things.
