Punjab Kings downed defending champions Mumbai Indians in their last game and they will be high on confidence coming into the game, things are starting to fall in place for them. In the last game Chris Gayle played a very masterful knock just to soak in the pressure and get PBKS the win that they needed. The inclusion of Ravi Bishnoi was turned out to be a great move, looking at him everyone was wondering why didn’t he started in the opening playing XI but anyhow he is here and he is delivering for PBKS that’s what matters. The overall bowling lineup looks sorted for PBKS as Arshdeep has done the job of bowling in the death very gracefully and so did Mohammad Shami. And the inclusion of Ravi Bishnoi has sorted the problem of spin bowling for them as Murugan Ashwin was struggling.
KKR is on the 8th position in the points table. They haven’t found any sort of momentum as they have suffered four straight losses after a win in the opening game. The form of their top order is a big concern for them, Shubman Gill is struggling to get runs at the top and so is Nitish Rana (if you can excuse one 80 run score). The skipper Eoin Morgan too hasn’t fired at all and so they are having problems with their top order. There are problems with their bowling attack too, they just haven’t been able to identify their bowlers for the right roles who bowls where is the biggest problem they are facing and it’s a very big problem since Eoin Morgan is the captain of KKR. They have tried Andre Russell at the death they have tried Prasidh Krishna and Pat Cummins but it hasn’t worked or they hav chopped and changed too much and same thing is happening with bowling in the power play. So they need to sort things out quickly to start winning.
