This was a game of highs and lows. Whether it may be the high class of Rahul or the low scores of Hooda and Pooran it has it all. But the finish from captain Rahul was something else, in the last 5 over they scored 53 runs where 22 runs came off the last over bowled by Harshal Patel. But Nicholas Pooran again registered a duck which is his 4th this season. Deepak Hooda after one breathtaking inning has got a string of low scores to his name. Shahrukh Khan hasn’t truly justified his potential yet. All this things are still concerning Punjab but the newest inclusion to the playing XI in form of Harpreet Brar bowled a magnificent spell and took the wickets of the big three of RCB lineup i.e. Virat Kohli,Glen Maxwell,AB de villiers. All of them got out to Harpreet Brar and resulting PBKS won the match comfortably. But both Meredith and Shami with the new ball were amazing, they bowled with pace and to straighter lines and RCB batsmen couldn’t get going.
With Rahul and Gayle batting a score in excess of 190 looked possible but after Chris Gayle got out RCB bowlers got themselves back into the game by picking up wickets. At the end of 15 overs RCB were 119 for 5 and the score of 170 looked far but a cameo from Harpreet Brar and the ball striking of Rahul insured that they get past 170. Again Harshal Patel got some patting by Kl and Brar. But more than that they never got the momentum in their inning. Both Virat Kohli and Rajat Patidar never got going and left too much for the last.
