The Chepauk is the venue for the low scoring encounters and such has been shown in the scores of the games which have been played here. This pich has been consistent with the bounce and slowness and some teams have aced the conditions and got the results in their favour but the others have struggled to get going on this pitch. SRH was one of the teams who were supposed to ace the conditions and have a brilliant run on this ground but they lost three of their four matches here. As far as 9 games have been played here and barring one or two matches every game has been a low scoring game and close encounters too. In the last game SRH played here they found a way to accommodate Kane Williamson in the playing XI and straightaway the change of fortunes happened and they registered their first win of the season so they would want to continue with the same XI. This being the last game here SRH would want to win it and start to get some momentum to move up the table.
Delhi have played one game here against MI and they registered a win fairly easy on the bank of good bowling performance. But in this game they are up against SRH who have a tailor made batting order made for such conditions. Though they have found a place for Kane Williamson in the playing XI late but this move could prove to be very handy. But DC have their own strength, they have a pretty good bowling attack with a good bunch of batsmen, specially the form of Shikhar Dhawan and the inclusion of Steve Smith. Now they boast of a very good playing XI too. In the last game Amit Mishra ripped apart MI’s middle order and there is no excuse that he can’t do it again. So they have a very formidable XI too and they would also want to get a win so that they can stay in close proximity with CSK and RCB.
SRH’s probable XI: David Warner,Johny Bairstow,Kane Williamson,Virat Singh,Vijay Shankar,Abhishek Sharma,Kedar Jadhav,Rashid Khan, Bhuvaneshvar Kumar,Khaleel Ahmed,Siddharth Kaul
